I believe the Chapter Awards Chairperson is the most rewarding position I have held at the Chapter level. Although there is a lot of work in submitting an award, it is most rewarding when you are notified that a member, non-member, organization or company will receive recognition.
There are many deserving Southwest Chapter members. Talk to your Chapter Awards Chairperson, Board or fellow members on how should be honored at the Institute and Region.
The CSI National Convention in June 2002 will be in Las Vegas. I would like the Southwest Region to receive the most awards. I would like each Chapter in the Southwest Region to submit at least one package for an Institute awards. Chapter should plan on submitting for the Outstanding Chapter Commendation. The president and past president should fill out the information required. The Institute honors and awards packages are to be submitted to the Institute by February 1, 2002. The Region Awards submittals are due June 1, 2002.
I will be revising the Chapter Guide for the submitting of Institute & Region Award. This guide will be sent to the Chapter Awards Chairperson for their use.
